An updated retelling of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol follows Ebenezer Wheeler through the streets of Portland, Oregon. Read about Wheeler’s encounters with the ghost of his old partner, Jacob Adams, his tours through the city with the three spirits of Christmas, and how he gains a better understanding of how his greed harms others. This work of parody contains 12 illustrations with image descriptions.
All funds raised through this sale go to the Portland General Defense Community (aside from payment processing fees) to support protestors arrested during 2020 and 2021 whose legal challenges continue.
By using the classic Christmas tale, the creators reflect on the values of community and hope for Portland — the same values protestors brought to the George Floyd Uprising night after night in 2020 and 2021.
