After the sun set on Thanksgiving, we tore down a memorial to the US soldiers of the Spanish-American War in Riverview cemetery. The Spanish-American war, overseen by President William Mckinley, marked a turning point in American Imperialism, resulting in the annexation of Puerto Rico, Guam, Cuba and the Phillipines and creating new norms for overseas military intervention and territorial control by the United States. The monument bears a plaque dedicated to the US soldiers who killed to assert control over the Phillipines. Through action, we call to life the memories of the Phillipine Insurrection against American rule and anarchist Leon Czolgosz, who assassinated President McKinley in New York while revolt continued on the islands. “Anti-maskers help the state”
Because the anarchy fair was being organized by anti maskers, we wanted to remind attendees we actually can protect us. Last night we left messages at entrances and a few visible locations as well as added a bit of stench that will make attending in a mask more pleasant than maskless. The state wants us dead! We want you here to fight with us.

This weekend members of the Trans Exterminationist “Women’s Declaration International” and “Women’s Liberation Front” came to Portland to attempt a conference and rally at a public library in Portland. It went badly for them. Like really really badly. Continue reading “The TERF’s weekend from hell”

PNW Fur Industry Update
In another sign of the fur farming industry’s decline, the Northwest Farm Food Co-op has sold its feed plant in Burlington, Washington. The new owner, Scoular, will use the facility to produce ingredients for pet food. At one time, the cooperative was a major supplier of mink feed to fur farms in Washington, Oregon and Idaho– with more than 25 member farms.
The sale of the feed plant could be bad news for the few remaining fur farms in the Pacific Northwest, who may now pay more for feed (feed is among the biggest expenses for a fur farm).

PNW Defense Coalition Annual Dinner disrupted in Tigard
On Nov 2nd we set off fire alarms to disrupt the Pacific Northwest Defense Coalition Annual Dinner at the Hilton Embassy Suites hotel in Tigard. We first pulled an alarm in a different part of the building than the event, which caused a large section of the hotel to evacuate, but did not affect the wing where the dinner was taking place. Pulling another alarm close to the dinner was necessary to make the defense coalition evacuate, a valuable lesson when trying to activate fire alarms in very large buildings. This was a small and easy intervention against one local arm of the military industry enabling Israel’s continued slaughter in Palestine.

Trick or Treat!
On Halloween night, filled with a festive spirit, we put on our best costumes and went door to door for US flags, candy, doorbell cameras and other security cameras.
We were sad to find more cameras than candy, but we made sure to leave several Portland neighborhoods with much less of both.
A thin prybar makes the most effective tool for removing the doorbell cameras. Most are not hardwired, but some have wires that must be ripped out or cut.

Mischief Night stroll yields doorbell cameras
Last night, after the trick-or-treaters went home, I played some tricks of my own on some snitch ass homeowners. My treats? Six doorbell surveillance cameras!
I propose a friendly challenge to all individuals and crews to outdo me, and then to outdo whoever outdid me 🙂
Let’s see who can collect and destroy the most of these cameras.
Death to surveillance!
