May 1st, 2026 – We heralded May Day in the early morning hours, alongside the songs of barred owls and the scampering footsteps of coyotes who crept through the neighborhood surrounding the Enterprisportlande Rent-A-Car off Sandy Blvd and NE 29th in Portland, OR.
It took us less than 5 minutes to hop the scant barbed wire and sagging chain link fence, slash every tire in the lot, and disappear into the night.
Around the country and here in Portland, Enterprise rents thousands of vehicles to ICE agents, willfully providing the machinery to kidnap, brutalize, and terrorize our community. For as long as Enterprise continues renting to ICE, we will continue to attack them.
And so, with boxcutters and knives in hand,
in each one of your tire sidewalls,
in every vehicle littering your ill-guarded parking lot like flies dotting flypaper,
we wrote a love letter –
to the earth,
who swallows empires
to the trees,
who will one day lay claim to the corpse of your shitty little bootlicker rental car office
to the death
of every agent and profiteer who enacts violence on behalf of “borders” that will never sever the land from itself
to each other,
vagabonds and miscreants, fleeting moments shared in vigil and celebration
to the glory
of the Haymarket Martyrs, in memory of the Negros 19, in solidarity with the Prairieland Defendants and to all those who DHS and colonizer powers have dispossessed, brutalized, killed, and put behind cages.
And so, to the wretched of the earth we say:
¡DESOBEDECE!
¡INCENDIA!
