The border is everywhere. While we often focus on overtly violent aspects – ICE raids, border patrol checkpoints – state violence is more than the goons who work as law enforcement.
ICE agents understand that they are the enemy. They cover their faces. They obscure their license plates. They set up elaborate surveillance systems around their homes. They get yelled at. They get doxxed. They are reminded that they are the enemy.
ICE prosecutors live otherwise normal, carefree lives. They live their lives under the assumption that people will see them as no more than office workers or government bureaucrats. It is time that they are exposed for who they are.
Andrew B. Kartchner is a attorney for the Department of Homeland Security in Oregon. He makes his living grilling asylum seekers in court and arguing for deportation.

It must be made clear there can be peace for those who maintain the immigration enforcement machine.
