Hey there,
I’m Rebel Rabbit and I reviewed the Rose city counter info blog post from Some Anarchist. I’d like to offer a Clearer Argument (based on Some Anarchists piece).
Some points out that protests at the ICE office have become stuck in a loop: people show up, clash with feds, leave, and repeat. This has not shut ICE down or shifted power. To move forward, she argues, we need to change tactics.
Some’s key recommendations:
1. Do not stay locked to one site. The ICE office has become stagnant ground.
2. Be mobile. Use snake-marches and shifting locations to regain energy.
3. Target other sites of power. Show that ICE is not the only artery of oppression.
4. Stack small victories. Build momentum with achievable wins instead of waiting for one big breakthrough.
5. Avoid passivity. Stop defaulting to spectating or documenting. Everyone should take part.
6. Renew energy. Break out of routines and make protests unpredictable.
7. Act even in small groups. As Some says: even two or three committed people is “enough.”
Core Argument:
If we want change, we cannot keep circling the same drain. The opposite of stagnation is movement. Shift terrain, diversify tactics, and act decisively. Otherwise, the ritual repeats without results.

On Feasibility
This plan is ambitious but pieces of it are realistic even with a small group:
• A handful of protesters could shift terrain by choosing a second location and alternating between sites.
• They could practice mobility by starting with short snake-marches or surprise walkabouts rather than long static actions.
• They could stack small wins by focusing on visible but achievable actions such as banner drops, noise disruptions, or coordinated visuals.
• They could cut passivity by setting clear roles each night so that everyone participates in some way rather than standing back.
• Even a small committed group can keep protests unpredictable by changing routes, times, and tactics from night to night.
In short: the plan is feasible if it is broken into smaller steps. The handful of protesters already showing up can begin by experimenting with mobility, rotating locations, and assigning active roles so no one defaults to standing still.
Lastly, I really think we need more cowbell!!
